‘Bye, Minimalist!

My favorite column in the New York Times dining section said goodbye today. Mark Bittman, evidently, will be moving to the opinion pages (where he can share his noble ideas about food politics with a wider audience) and writing recipe columns for the Times magazine. I’ll miss his simple and inspiring weekly recipes!

About Elizabeth

In no particular order, I am a writer, reader, wife, teacher, obsessive eater, and amateur home cook.

  1. We can still rely on you for recipes. But it really seems that in this day and age, you can’t just settle into a career and be happy. Bittman can’t just be a food writer, he has to be more responsible, and do more! write bigger and better! Eventually we’ll all evolve into Anthony Bourdain’s. Not content to be an elite chef, he’s risen so far above and beyond food, I have to wonder if he still even needs to eat.
